Drama
From reception to year two, we aim to strengthen focus and bring the fun times! Huzzah knows that the Performing Arts offer a great platform to springboard your child into a more confident, creative and satisfied self. Quieter children are coaxed out of their shells and kids with more energy are given a much needed outlet.
What does this look like to your children? Having a lot of fun, playing drama games, dancing, singing and putting on a show! We even sprinkle in some mindfulness to chill out and focus.
Then, from year three to six, children learn key skills like paying close attention, using initiative, sharing with and leading a group and all the various forms of expression you’d expect from a performing arts club. However, Huzzah children have the added benefits of practicing mindfulness meditations during their time with us.
Huzzah classes focus on an imaginative and creative process that allows children to constantly develop their minds, values and sense of self.
Each term ends with a showing for friends, family and fans.
Dance
Studies have shown that learning dance develops creativity, teamwork, confidence, critical thinking, self-discipline, physical health and the ability to work collaboratively.
At Huzzah we know that kids want to express themselves and have fun too. That’s why we’ve packed technical skills and know how into a fun filled programme teaching your child challenging dances to their favourite tunes.
There is a showing for the school, family and friends at the end of term - another chance to boost your child's confidence.
Don’t have a Huzzah club in your school?
Did you know we do LAMDA?
Oh yes! Huzzah provide awesome LAMDA teachers to schools to work with your kids towards an exam. LAMDA stands for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
They are one of the oldest Drama schools in the land and they decided it would be cool if progress in the arts could be graded in the same way in which playing a musical instrument is, so they created their awesome examinations for young people.
What Huzzah loves about LAMDA is that it's an opportunity for your child to have personal attention from a highly skilled tutor: your child’s confidence and communication skills will soar.
And not only that…
We also run INSET days, workshops and our awesome ‘Play In A Day’ event, where children are given parts, lines and costumes in the morning and are on stage in front of parents by the afternoon. If any of these things are something that you think would be awesome for your school, drop us an email HERE.
